CONSERVATION MANAGEMENT PLAN (CMP)
Conservation Management Plan And Special Area Plan For The Archeological Heritage Of The Lenggong Valley is a management plan to protect and manage the World Heritage Site in Lenggong Valley. The plan was prepared to fulfill the requirements of UNESCO in safeguarding the Outstanding Universal Values (OUVs) of the property which dates back to 1.83 million years. The key archeological findings at the Lenggong Valley are the remains of Perak Man, meteorite crater at Bukit Bunuh and stone tools as well as workshops which was found at open air sites and cave sites. The plan outlines the management strategies, principles, development control and proposals for the Archeological Heritage of the Lenggong Valley area. The plan is prepared in the manner of a Special Area Plan as stipulated in section 16B of the Town and Country Planning Act 1976 (Act 172) to provide effective mechanism in regulation and implementation
